Intuition Box

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Intuition Box DAO, grants, governance, and security

What is Intuition Box?

Intuition Box is a DAO that coordinates builders contributing to the Intuition ecosystem. It funds work, allocates resources, and governs decisions through a reputation-based system.

Is Intuition Box a company?

No. The DAO itself is not a legal entity.

However, Intuition Box LLC exists as an operational entity that can sign contracts and execute payments when required. It operates alongside the DAO, not above it.

What is the Intuition Foundation?

The Intuition Foundation is the legal and fiduciary layer that supports the ecosystem.

It:

  • provides monthly funding
  • acts as a legal interface when needed
  • ensures continuity and compliance

How does governance work?

Governance is:

  • reputation-based (iBOX token)
  • merit-driven
  • via contributions

Decisions are made through proposals and weighted signaling by active contributors.

What is iBOX?

iBOX is a non-transferable reputation unit used for governance.

It:

  • reflects contribution and participation
  • determines governance influence
  • decays over time with inactivity

It is not a token for investment and does not represent equity.

How do I become a member?

You become a member by contributing to the Intuition ecosystem.

This can include:

  • building software
  • doing research
  • writing documentation
  • contributing to community or operations

Membership is based on proof of work, not application alone.

How do grants work?

Grants fund work across the ecosystem.

They can be:

  • upfront
  • milestone-based
  • retroactive

Grants are proposed, reviewed, and approved through governance, and executed through the treasury.

Are KPIs required?

Most of the times, but not always.

The system prioritizes execution and observable impact over rigid KPI frameworks. Some grants may include milestones, but the system is intentionally flexible.

Do I need to use the Intuition Box GitHub?

No, but it is recommended.

Using the shared GitHub organization helps ensure:

  • continuity of work
  • ecosystem visibility and technical support
  • long-term maintainability
  • free subdomain and hosting with automatic deploys

What happens if my wallet is compromised?

The DAO has a formal recovery process.

  • Payments are paused
  • A verification process is initiated
  • A new wallet can be assigned through governance

This is handled through a Security Override Proposal and recorded in the registry.

Can I change my wallet address?

Yes, but not informally.

Wallet changes are treated as secure state transitions and require:

  • identity verification
  • governance approval
  • registry update

This ensures fund safety and auditability.

What is the registry?

The registry is the system of record for the DAO.

It tracks:

  • grants
  • wallet changes
  • proposals
  • security events

All important actions are logged to ensure transparency and auditability.

What happens if someone stops contributing?

Nothing punitive happens, but:

  • their reputation (iBOX) decays
  • their governance influence decreases

They can regain influence by contributing again.

Is this system decentralized?

It is progressively decentralized.

  • Governance is already DAO-driven
  • Execution still uses operational and legal layers (LLC / Foundation)

Over time, more control shifts to the DAO.

Who controls the funds?

Funds are:

  • provided by the Intuition Foundation
  • held in a multisig Safe
  • allocated by DAO governance

No single party has unilateral control.

Can the DAO override decisions in emergencies?

Yes.

In critical situations:

  • emergency proposals can be used
  • funds can be paused
  • temporary coordination mechanisms may be activated

All emergency actions must be reviewed after execution.

Is this financial advice or an investment?

No.

Intuition Box is a coordination and funding system for builders.

  • iBOX is not an investment
  • grants are not financial products
  • participation is contribution-based

Where do I start?

Start by:

  • contributing to the ecosystem
  • engaging with the community
  • submitting a proposal or grant

If you are building something meaningful, the DAO is designed to support you.
