What is Intuition Box?
Intuition Box is an ecosystem of builders supported under a services agreement with the Intuition Foundation. Its mission is to accelerate the adoption and expansion of the Intuition Protocol by funding, coordinating, and mentoring contributors across the ecosystem.
The DAO exists to allocate resources transparently to meaningful work across research, development, design, and ecosystem operations.

How the DAO Works
The DAO coordinates funding and participation through a hybrid structure:
- Intuition Foundation → provides monthly funding
- Intuition Box LLC → operational execution entity
- Safe (Ethereum → Arbitrum) → treasury routing layer
- Colony DAO → governance and reputation system
This structure is designed for safe bootstrapping with progressive decentralization.
Treasury Summary
- Monthly funding: $10,000 USD
- Allocation:
- $6,000 → core contributors
- $4,000 → grants, bounties, missions
Funds are distributed via a multisig Safe and coordinated through DAO governance processes.
Governance Principles
- Merit-based influence
- Participation decay for inactivity
- Equal voting weight for eligible members
- No self-voting impact
- Transparent reporting and accountability
Governance currently controls:
- Grant and bounty allocation
- Internal treasury distribution
- Reporting requirements
Governance does NOT control:
- Foundation-level decisions
- Legal responsibilities of the LLC
- External contractual obligations outside DAO scope
Reputation System (iBOX)
iBOX is the native reputation unit used in Colony governance.
Key properties:
- Non-investment governance primitive
- Used for participation weighting
- Distributed based on contributions
- Reflects merit and activity over time
iBOX is not equity and does not represent financial ownership.
Membership
DAO membership includes all verified Intuition builders.
Eligibility:
- Proof of contribution required
- Valid association with Intuition ecosystem
- Contributions may include code, research, design, operations, or documentation
Members participate in:
- Governance voting
- Grant allocation signals
- Ecosystem coordination
